Totally Sported Sports
Totally Sorted Sports is an independent provider of sports
activity and riding holidays. We are a Spanish "Sociedad
de Responsabilidad Limitada" or "S.L."
which is a form of limited company (for those interested one
of the main differences being that the shares cannot be
traded on the stock market). As such we are subject to
the relevant accounting regulations and need to file
approved company accounts, etc every year. We are fully
registered with the Mercantil de Granada and are members of
the local Patronato de Tourismo (tourist board).
Riding Holidays In Spain
Riding Holidays In Spain is simply the new web site
we have set up to concentrate on our riding holidays.
Riding is still available as as part of our great multi
activity holidays, but this site is purely for our riding
holidays.
What's the difference between Riding
Holidays in Spain & Totally Sorted Sports?
"Totally Sorted Sports" is the parent company. "Riding Holidays in
Spain" is the division of Totally Sorted which concentrates purely on week long
riding holidays. The difference is marginal - clients on riding
holidays, or non-riders, can join in any of our other activities.
How do I book my holiday?
Full details of the booking process are on our
bookings page, but in a nut shell you simply check our
Riding Holiday dates & prices
then use our links on the
Travel page to check for flights. When you have decided on the
date you want & the arrival time of the flight you will be using, then
complete the
on-line availability inquiry (or call us) and we will check & confirm
availability for your chosen holiday period. If we have availability
we will make a provisional booking for you and hold it for 24hrs while you
book your flights and download and complete the booking form.
Do you have late booking / last
minute adventure activity holiday offers?
Please see
Dates and Prices for any offers.
Where are your terms & conditions?

Why are credit / debit card
payments billed in Euros?
Unfortunately at present we are unable to take credit or debit card payments
in £ sterling due to the fees charged by the credit card companies for
"Cross border" payments and the cost of converting the £ into €. In
order to cover these fees, we would need to increase our costs by a
substantial amount, so in common with our peer group, we have decided to
bill credit / debit cards in Euros in order to give you the best deal.
This effectively splits the transaction, whereby we pick up all the
charges for the credit card processing & admin and your card company will
convert the € payment to £ on your statement. As this is a "purchase",
rather than a "cash advance", you should not be charged any additional fees
by your card company for this.

Non EEC Currencies (Dollars / Pounds / Krones / Kronas, Etc)
As all our costs (with the exception of some locally placed adverts in the UK) are incurred in Europe and the majority of our clients are also European we price in Euros (€).
The prices shown in € Euros will be used for payments made by credit or debit card or by cheque or bank transfer directly to our Spanish bank account. They are the final price you pay - we will not add any surcharges or currency adjustments to these € prices.
The prices shown in £ Sterling are shown for the convenience of our English, Welsh, N. Ireland & Scottish clients and are based on the exchange rate shown on the page concerned, which is liable to change.
Please note that, as in previous years and with especial regard to the current poor performance of the Pound against the Euro, we can only accept Sterling by cheque or bank transfer directly to our UK Lloyds TSB bank account at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of booking .
We appreciate that holidays are a substantial investment and work very hard to provide excellent value for money without compromising quality. The price shown at the time of booking is the price you will pay - we do not add last minute surcharges to your holiday cost.
We regret we cannot accept direct payments in other non EU currencies
such as Danish Krone, Swedish Krona, US Dollars etc - please contact us for
details.

your payment.
There is a limit of €8,000 per transaction for a PayPal member. To make a payment in excess of €8,000 multiple transactions can be sent to add up to the total amount.
Do you organise flights?
No, as we find that it usually cheaper and more convenient for our clients
to take advantage of the many low cost airline routes operating out of the
UK regional airports to Malaga & Granada, rather than committing to charter
seats which by their nature will be all from a single departure airport, and
also tend to be subject to more delays when routed from hubs such as
Gatwick. Check out our
Travel
page ffi.
Can you help
with Riding Insurance?
Yes - please see
insurance.
Chickens & Eggs Answered - or "If you don't do
flights how can I reserve accommodation while I look for a flight"?
Relax - Our experience shows us the best way all round is for you to check
out the flights first, so you know what's available at what time and how
much they cost. Next use our on-line availability inquiry form.
If we have availability we will pencil it in while you confirm your flight.
See
booking process
for full details.
Do you do airport transfers?
Yes, subject to the schedule on our
travel details
page. if required. Normally we pick up at Malaga airport at times to
coincide with Easy Jet flights (as there are by far the most popular at
present). An additional cost (payable locally) is made for transfers
outside these times, which may be via taxi. However, if you wish to hire a
car we will supply full driving instructions to get you from the airport to here
(and back) - or the local coach service is very good.
What about car hire?
Car hire can be arranged from Malaga or Granada, or we can arrange a local hire
car here in Almuñécar if you decide you would like a car at a later date.
Our
travel details page has a link to our recommended supplier - and if you book
via the link on our page you will get a 15% discount. Let us know if you
are self driving and we will supply full driving instructions on how to get to
Almuñécar, road junctions to watch out for, etc.
Can you do special itineraries for
people / small groups?
Yes - please contact us for full details. We can easily add in extra
lessons or caching if required - equally for groups or clubs /
associations we ca put together great bespoke weeks.
Do you cater for families?
Yes - and don't forget that not everyone need to either ride, or be able to
ride, as we cater from total beginners to experienced riders. Also, we have
a full range of other
optional activities
for non riders.
Do you cater for
non -riders?
Yes - We have a great range of additional optional activities for
non riders. See our dedicated
non riding partners or friends page for more info.
Do I have to do riding every day?
No - we understand fully that not every one wants to ride every day.
Equally if you have a non riding partner of r friend that is no problem at
all. As we are part of Totally Sorted Sports all their activities are
open to us, so while you are riding your partner could be mountain biking,
or diving. See
optional activities for details.
Do I have to be an expert rider / what experience do I need?
No - not at all. We offer riding lessons from BHS trained instructors in our sheltered arenas, or one to ones while out riding. We cater for the total beginner, right through the "rusty rider" to the experienced riders. Just contact Julie to discuss your requirements and we can easily put together a package for you.
Are there minimum ages / height / weight
restrictions?
Yes. In consideration for our horses, we impose an upper weight limit
of 95kg (15st) clothed with riding boots / shoes for horse riding
activities, though for a short ride of around an hour or so we could
accommodate up to 102 kg (16 st).
Please see Riding Holiday Notes for more information.
What's a typical week look like?
We run two main itineraries - "Summer" and "Autumn-Winter-Spring" - due to
the summer mid day heat. See the
riding holidays in Spain itineraries page for full details.
What should I bring?
You need to pack for a trip to southern Spain at the time of year
you are considering (see also "What's
the weather like" below), as well as consider what
other activities you may be undertaking. To help understand what
other items you may need, see
what to pack for your riding holiday in Spain.
How can you do all this range of activities
and keep the quality up?
Simply by concentrating on our strengths, which lie in identifying &
investigating existing providers of activities and sporting opportunities.
Then, working through the language barrier, in analysing, planning &
organising a way through all their different timings, seasonal variations,
cost structures etc to select chosen partners with whom we operate.
Where is Almuñécar?
Almuñécar lies approx 100km south of Granada on the coast. See
Almuñécar info page ffi.
What's Almuñécar like?
Check out our
Almuñécar info page for full information on what the town & area is
like.
What else may be happening while I am there?
We have a stream of Fiestas, Ferias and Holidays over the year. See our Almuñécar info pages for details of what is happening.
What's the weather like?
Please see
Almuñécar & Costa Tropical weather page for weather & climate information.
What's your policy on carbon offsetting / eco / responsible tourism / green issues?
Please see our Responsible Tourism Policy for full details
What's going to try and eat
me?
In common with all the Mediterranean coastline we do get a few months of
mosquitoes, especially on the rare occasions it's wet. A sensible
precaution at night is to apply an anti mosquito spray or cream if you are
susceptible to being bitten - though some swear yeast tablets, garlic,
marmite or a combination of all three work well, though at the expense of
your love life.
Who designed the logos etc?

Sorted Sports was by viv king
