Our 2010 Summer Riding Itinerary runs until Fri 24 Sep 2010
as in the mid summer heat we are unable to ride mid day as it is too hot for the horses.
Instead we enjoy the cool mornings and the long warm Mediterranean evenings
on horse back, which leaves us time in the day to explore the old
town or soak up some sunshine on one of the 26 beaches
From Sat 25 Sep 2010 our Autumn / Winter / Spring Riding Itinerary will run.
You will be riding from a choice of our hand picked stables, so will be able to ride the very best of our coastal and countryside trails, all with fantastic views over the glittering blue Mediterranean to seaward and the spectacular white Andalucian villages inland. Our riding centre in the Natural Park, specialises in cross country hacks and day rides in the hills and mountains of Andalucia. Because of the hilly terrain and paths the going here is usually of a more measured pace, though there are ample opportunities for a canter on most of the routes. The scenery and views from higher up are simply stunning, overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean and foothills of Sierra Nevada.
We have a wide selection of mounts, ranging from those suitable for complete novices, to forward going for the more experienced riders, and can offer you English, Western, Portuguese or Spanish style riding styles on your holiday.
Hotel based clients - The first night we all go out for a welcome meal and drinks in
typical Andalucian restaurant after meeting for drinks & tapas in
beach bar. Breakfasts are taken in the hotel.
Hotel Victoria Playa is flexi half-board (you choose each day
whether you want lunch or evening meal).
Evening meals
optional at Hotels Carmen & Arrayanes Playa (details).
Wed is normally free day, where most take the
opportunity to visit the
Alhambra Palace & Generalife in Granada.
Self catering apartments clients - First night welcome drinks & tapas, as well as the evening meal & drinks in restaurant as above. Picnic / tapas style lunches on all-day rides. Full starter pack supplied in apartments (details).
