Apartments Atalaya
Our self-catering duplex apartment above Velilla beach is privately owned and fitted out to a very high standard.

downstairs has superb views over the sea towards Salobreña – and the
top terrace has tables and chairs, sun loungers etc. It has use of
the community pool and tennis court and is on the hill side
overlooking Velilla beach (around 70m above sea level). The
old town is just a 20 – 25 mins walk along the sea side paseo with a
wide variety of tapas bars, chiringuitos (beach bars) and
restaurants along the way, but returning you do have to come back up
the hill (!) That said, it' s €8 for a taxi.
Fully equipped for self-catering, with oven, hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine, etc. They have a modern fitted bathroom upstairs, as well as an additional separate bathroom downstairs. The balcony & terrace face south overlooking the beach and have superb views of the sea.

Self catering. Your apartment will be supplied with a complimentary welcome pack containing all the essentials you will need to get you off to a flying start. Typical contents will include tea, coffee, white & red (Rioja) wines, bread, fruit juice, milk, butter, bacon, eggs etc.
Welcome meeting & tapas, followed by evening meal & drinks in typical Andalucian restaurant on first night. Picnic / Tapas style lunch on all-day rides.

Hostal Altamar
Family run Hostal Altamar is a great pick for unbeatable
value. Only 100m from the
beach
and right in the heart of the historic old town, it's surrounded by
cobbled lanes, enchanting shops and tapas bars.
Highly recommended for riders who aren't looking for large hotel facilities. Spanish hostals tend to have well defined characters and are very popular with Spanish tourists. They are usually family run small hotels with individual style, but lack the public facilities a hotel would have such as TV lounges, public bars, lifts and pools.

Breakfasts are taken in the charming breakfast room and coffee
bar - evening meal is at the restaurant opposite.
17 well appointed comfortable rooms - available as singles, doubles or triple rooms, all equipped with en suite bathrooms, TV, air conditioning or fans / heating. There is also one family accommodation layout with a double bed room and separate twin bedded room.

Hotel Carmen - 2 Stars
Hotel Carmen is a very well situated family run two star hotel next to the
Majuelo botanical gardens with their Roman ruins
overlooked by the castle. Playa St
Cristobal
is some 120m down the road (2 or 3 minutes walk) with the
old town the same distance away. The hotel is family run, and
has 60 rooms sleeping 100 in total. Great value for money and
genuine Spanish hospitality and ambience.
All rooms are well equipped for your comfort with fully fitted
modern bathrooms. They all have telephone, heating, air
conditioning and colour TV. There is a bar / cafeteria open
from 08:00 to 23:30, in which to relax over coffee, snacks or
your favourite drinks. 
The hotel has a dining room as well as cafe-bar, with a summer roof terrace with views over the castle and old town one way and the hills in the distance to the other.
There is a small roof top swimming pool & terrace for hotel guests use which is open during the summer season.

Board Basis

Board is either on a B&B or optional Half Board basis allowing you to sample the great range of local restaurants around the town, with breakfast (& evening meals if chosen) taken at hotel. Self drive clients should note that parking is only available on street and is likely to be at a premium in the peak season. However, ample public parking (payable) is available some 150m up the road with further free parking slightly further away

Tranco Del Mar
Our self-catering apartments are conveniently located on the edge of
the historic A
rabic
part of Almuñécar, adjoining the main shopping area. They are
exceptionally well appointed, having recently been totally
refurbished and are situated just 70m from the central beach.
We can offer apartments with either double or twin beds. Each
type has a further sofa bed in the living room, so they can all
accommodate up to 2 + 1 adults or 2 adults + 2 children comfortably.
All the apartments are fully equipped for self-catering and comfort
and have modern fitted bathrooms with showers. Additionally they all
have fully fitted kitchens with everything you need for
self-catering, with ceramic hob, microwave, washing-machine and fridge, though there a host of bars and restaurants in the
immediate vicinity all of whom specialise in typical Andalucian
fare. Hot
water is supplied via ecologically sound solar energy, with
air-conditioning also being fitted as standard in all apartments
along with televisions. Each apartment also has a small balcony. One
of the apartments is completely suitable for invalids, with all the
apartments also being serviced by a 6 person elevator.

However, there is a public underground car park (charge applies) less than 300m away, with free parking (at a premium in peak season) around 300 - 400m away.
